Game Description
Addiction Island The player explores a remote island in a quest to help free his friend from the prison of addiction to cigarettes. Following hints from the smoker, the player gathers information about four steps to quitting smoking.
Alien Autopsy

The player assists a team of forensic scientists to discover what killed an alien visitor. The player uses special laboratory instruments to find injury and disease processes in the alien’s body organs and eventually discovers that the cause of death is secondhand smoke exposure.

Clear the Air The player moves Little Brother through the house and talks to family members about their mysterious problems. Eventually, Little Brother reports his findings to Mom and she calls the Doctor who determines that secondhand smoke is the cause of the problems.
Hazardous Materials Lab

The player uses special tools to analyze tobacco and tobacco smoke. The computer identifies dangerous chemicals found in tobacco that are also contained in other common and unexpected products.

Maze of Addiction

The player moves a character named Nico through a maze while trying to avoid smoking cigarettes and being caught by the Nicotine Gremlins. Each time the player exits the maze or gets trapped by the gremlins, the program provides information about the experience ofnicotine addiction.

SimSmoke

The player creates a middle school character avatar and then chooses six friends. Over the next (virtual) six weeks, the player encounters social situations involving offers to smoke cigarettes. The player makes choices and receives feedback and consequences for those choices from peers and adults.

Smoke Lab

The player assists the computer in a laboratory experiment where a mannequin (dummy) with simulated human organs smokes cigarettes. Each time the dummy smokes, the computer provides graphic feedback, showing damage to various organs in the respiratory and circulatory systems.

Stomp the Lies

The player moves a character through a virtual world with three different environments: a city, the countryside, and a tobacco factory. Each environment contains billboards with false advertising claims about smoking and chewing tobacco. The player must help the character jump on the button on top of each sign which transforms the message into the truth about the dangers of tobacco use.

You Don’t Know Spit The player participates as a contestant in a lively game show that asks questions and provides answers about many issues involved with spit (smokeless) tobacco. These include: negative health effects, cancer and mortality rates, laws prohibiting selling tobacco to minors, the amount of money spent by tobacco advertisers, and negative social outcomes from chewing.
